Ephesians 2:8-9   Suppose you died today and ended up at the gates of heaven and God said, “Why should I let you into heaven?”  What would you say?  Learn the correct answer to this question as you listen to this important message.  Our eternal home in heaven is another important aspect of the miracle of salvation.

6.  Graciously gave you the necessary faith for salvation V8-9

a.  For by GRACEephesians2_8-9

b.  you have been SAVED

c.  through FAITH;

d. and that not of yourselves, it is the GIFT of God;

e. not as a result of works, so that no one may BOAST.

    Isn’t this still works? If you have to answer a question, believe a certain way you are still saying we have to DO something. We can’t DO ANYTHING. Can we?

    Tammy, No it isn’t works. Please click on the sermon and listen to it and I think you will see that you are right in that we can’t do anything. Really, it is all God doing the saving. All we can do is believe “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.” And, even that belief is only made possible by God.

    I listened to the entire sermon before I posted my comment. Sounds like works. His emphasis sounded a lot like making sure you have the correct beliefs = correct faith, which would still be something we have to do or get right. But I guess true faith is really not explainable.
