From Russell Faith Bible Church
to
Faith Bible Church of Warren
1964 to Present

In 1964, Russell Faith Bible Church began its meetings in the old brick fire hall in downtown Russell at the four corners. Meetings continued there until a building project could be developed and completed. As land was donated on the corner of Rt. 62 and Woodland Drive, a foundation was poured, and the vision was materialized in 1965 when the doors opened for worship.  In time to follow, the parsonage was built next door that would eventually be the home to six different pastoral families. Following the parsonage, an addition was put on to the main building that would allow for Sunday school classrooms and kitchen/dining facilities.

Our Old Church Building

1994 proved to be a pivotal year for Faith Bible Church with a new pastor who is also still our current pastor. He was and is committed to the systematic exposition of the scriptures.  By 1999, our mid-week services and a meal were incorporated into a longer Sunday gathering to encourage families to spend more time together during the week.

Fast-forward to 2000, when the then-eldership board and members of the church decided to sell the church building and parsonage to move our service into a home setting. This change would also result in allowing the pastoral family to have its own home.  Desire for change of direction at this time was to minimize upkeep on a building and surrounding property and to maximize outflow of funds to help others in need and chosen missions. Faith Bible Church is privileged to participate in the support of a church-planting missionary family in Mexico whose sponsoring body is their own home church.

By 2001, worship services began in the home setting at the parsonage as the church building was being sold to another group. By the fall of 2002, worship services were being held in the new home setting on Jackson Run Road in North Warren at the home of the pastor and Russell Faith Bible Church officially became Faith Bible Church of Warren. Services were regularly held in the home setting until 2008 when the then-empty, but well-maintained, former Jackson Run Baptist Church building, at the corner of Jackson Run and Dutch Hill Road, became the new and present home of our worship services after an influx of several new families.

At present, services for Faith Bible Church of Warren are held each Sunday morning at 10:30.  Our weekly gatherings always include the Lord’s Supper, a prayer time, singing,  and an expository message from the Word of God.
