Coffee Break: Sunday mornings at 10:00 am. Come and share some coffee and a snack with us as we catch up with each other before our worship service.

Nursery:  We have a nursery downstairs available for infants and toddlers.  If you do keep them in the worship service and they get fussy you can always retreat to the nursery.  We have sound there also so you can hear the sermon.  We have a short lesson for them too!

Sunday school:  Everyone gathers upstairs at 10:30 where we sing and then share in the Lord’s Supper.  Right after that the children may go downstairs for Sunday school.

We have two options available for young children.

Option one:  We have Sunday school classes downstairs for them.  These are structured gatherings and include singing, sound Biblical teaching, crafts and other activities that will nurture them in the things of the Lord.

Option two: You may keep your young children with you in the worship service upstairs.  If they should become more than a minor disruption, then we ask that you take them out for discipline and then return to the service.

We have been using Discover 4 Yourself, Children’s Bible Study Series by Kay Arthur, and Cyndy Shearer.  The first one we did was,  How to  Study Your Bible for Kids, and then we moved on to God, What’s Your Name?  Now we are doing, Jesus in the Spotlight.

Publisher’s Description:

Any young person who works through one of the Discover 4 Yourself Bible Studies for Kids will emerge with a richer appreciation for the Word of God and a deeper understanding of God’s love and care for them.

Jesus in the Spotlight cover chapters 1-10 of the Gospel of John, giving youth a biblical perspective of who Jesus is and how He can change their lives.

Worship Service:  Our worship service begins at 10:30 sharp.  We start out with singing, followed by the Lord’s Supper, then the children may be dismissed to go downstairs for Sunday school and nursery.  After the pastor brings us his message,  we sing some more and then spend time giving prayer requests and praises.  After we lift up the prayers and praises to the Lord we sing again and then are dismissed.  We try to incorporate all of this in one two-hour session each Sunday morning.  That way we don’t have to come out several times a week to meetings and can spend more quality time with our families.

Men’s Get Together:  Periodically the men will get together to share a meal at one of our local restaurants.  Sometimes it’s  in Warren and other times it’s in Jamestown.

Music: Linda graces us with her piano and James with his guitar playing.

Dig Deeper Ladies’ Bible Study:  At the present time we are doing a wonderful Bible Study in the book of PhiFullnessOfJoylippians presented by Susan Heck.  This is done online and makes it very convenient as we can do these lessons at home and in our own time.  We don’t have to get ready and drive to the church. This is especially nice since some of us live a good distance away.  We  have a private website to listen to each lesson, and we have an area where we can discuss the lesson.  It is fun and most important of all helps us as we grow in the Lord.  This study is called, With the Master In Fullness of Joy.

From the back cover of the book:

“The news headlines today can be cause for worry and despair, but for the believer in Jesus Christ we can still be full of joy, as we realize that we have a blessed Savior who is in control of every event in every place.  The book of Philippians is about joy and rejoicing in the midst of difficult  circumstances and difficult people — about being joyful even when you don’t have anyone but Christ!”
